Right then, my second post on here after my intro post...
I'm getting an iX1 on salary sacrifice. Supposedly will be with me mid-Dec. All I know so far is that the car is 'On Order' with a 'Build Slot Confirmed'.
At which stage might I expect to be able to hassle for a VIN? My understanding then is that the BMW Genius team will be able to give me the latest production status straight away, as they have more up-to-date info than any dealership has access to. Is this correct?
All very exciting...I've owned a BMW before (318ti), but this will be my first brand new BMW
Once you've got a build slot confirmed, you be provided with the VIN number.
I got mine provided on the 13/09 and didn't take long as delivery has been confirmed for 18/10.
The BMW chat line are very helpful with providing the details to me of each stage.
Have you ordered through Tusker ?
Since my post, I've actually had lots of details, and things have moved on. I have the VIN, and delivery was supposed to be this Friday, 20 Oct. However, it's been delayed until 30 Oct. The BMW Geniuses have been very helpful in giving details of the status etc.
