I’m due to pick up my iX1 on Saturday. After a lot of research the IX1 just stood out compared with the two German brands especially the technology and overall quality.

It is good. Range not the best so read this forum before you get one.

I can't speak for range but the car is amazing and rides really well on the 20 inch wheels as I had concerns about that having in driven an Ix1 with the smaller ones. The steering is numb but the chassis feel is not although the front wheel drive bias is shame I suppose if nit picking. In terms of performance I don't see why anyone needs to accelerate quicker than this.

For me no other brand compares in the infotainment arena which is important as so much is due through that a poor one frustrates very quickly. Only bizarre thing is you cannot set the temp on the app which may be a safety feature or will come soon albeit my Jaguar EPace of old it could not cool the car so I'll take BMWs option any day over that.

Not having blind spot monitoring despite having the tech pro pack is poor as no way I'm pay £55 a month for something I will rarely use. Heads up display once you have it you get it. The BMW Genius chap said as much and he was right.
